Iron Tigers Robotics / 2024 season

2024 competition robot

A modular intake, dual-purpose climber, and frame for a swerve drivetrain.

Responsibilities

I led the intake design, the dual-purpose climber and game-piece deflector, and the frame for the team’s first swerve drivetrain.

Intake & serviceability

The in-frame intake used a Falcon 500 motor, belt-driven transfer, and beam-break detection. I designed it as a removable assembly and prepared a spare so damage could be addressed quickly between matches.

Manufacturing & competition

The side A-frame structure was changed from polycarbonate to machined aluminum for impact resistance. The team qualified for the New England District Championship for the first time in seven years. In the off-season, the robot was adapted with T-shirt cannons for school events.
